Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said that the repeated violation of the ceasefire agreement signed between Iranian leaders and the United States to end the conflict shows that President Donald Trump’s signature no longer holds any credibility, accusing Washington of failing to honor its commitments despite the agreement aimed at restoring peace.

On Saturday, in a written statement, Khamenei said Washington’s failure to honor the agreement showed that deals signed by the U.S. administration can no longer be trusted.

His remarks came after Iran and the United States intensified attacks against each other following the violation of the ceasefire agreement last week, raising fears that heavy fighting could resume.

Khamenei said the United States should know that the Iranian people and their allies have learned “unforgettable lessons” from the conflict.

His comments come at a time when relations between Tehran and Washington remain tense, with both sides accusing each other of violating their commitments and undermining regional stability.

The conflict between Iran and the United States continues to escalate. In recent days, President Donald Trump said the U.S. could also launch a ground offensive with the support of allied countries.

On July 18, the Iranian government announced that at least 50 people had been killed in U.S. military strikes during July. A participant in the peace talks also said the agreement between the two countries had been suspended, blaming the United States for violating its terms.

Iran’s Ministry of Health said the death toll had reached 50, while 500 people had been injured. The attacks began on July 6.

Iran said the attacks damaged a desalination plant that supplies fresh water from seawater, leaving about 10,000 people without access to water. Tehran responded by launching fresh attacks using drones and missiles targeting Gulf countries that support the United States.
