Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Adviser on Special Military Operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, on Saturday toured key infrastructure projects under construction in the City of Kigali during his two-day official visit to Rwanda.
Among the facilities he visited was King Faisal Hospital, which is undergoing expansion. The project is expected to increase the hospital’s capacity from 200 to 400 beds.
The upgraded facility will also include a specialized Intensive Care Unit (ICU), high-level Very Very Important Person (VVIP) rooms, and a helipad for helicopter landings and takeoffs.
Gen. Kainerugaba also visited Nyandungu Eco Park and Parklane Estate, where the Mayor of Kigali, Samuel Dusengiyumva, briefed him on various projects aimed at promoting urban development and improving housing infrastructure in the city.
The visit highlights the cooperation and collaboration between Rwanda and Uganda, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development and urban growth.
